Coming to the End

For almost the last 7 years Colby has been in school, 4 of which have been in Pharmacy School at the University of Utah. I can't even begin to tell you how proud of him I am, he has worked so hard. Let me put things in perspective...The last year he has been working 64+ hours a week, about 40 hrs were spent at rotations, and then the remaining amount at his regular job. It was totally normal to have 16+ hr work days. The longest stretch he went without having a day off went for 54 days. It has been hard on all of us having him gone so much. Thank goodness for good neighbors and family who have supported us through it all. We really couldn't have gotten through without you guys!

I am happy to announce that Colby finally finished rotations a couple of weeks ago! He has found a job here in Utah and starts on Monday! (Which we are way excited about since this whole time we thought we would for sure be moving out of state.) Unfortunately, we still have the 64+ hour work weeks for a couple more months until our new insurance kicks in. At least there is a light at the end of the tunnel!!! So now we are just waiting for graduation on May 6 and then he takes the NAPLEX and Pharmacy Law test to become an official Pharmacist. Yay! I'm so excited for Colby to be done with school! It is nice that this chapter of our lives is coming to a close and we are looking forward to moving on with our next phase of life!

Jameson

Jameson is getting so big. In fact he is bigger than Corbin was at 1. I love all his little rolls. His nicknames run from Little Buddha to Hunk-a-Chunk to Fatty Face, which are all terms of endearment at our house. I can't believe that he is already 7 months old. It goes by so fast. He has 1 tooth with a second coming in and is crawling all around the house. He loves to laugh at Corbin and he eats everything he can get his hands on. In fact, it will be a miracle if he makes it to his first birthday, he likes to put marbles in his mouth, but has now moved on to something much better...golf balls. Yes, I found him with a whole golf ball in his mouth! I freaked out and had to push his cheeks to pop the golf ball out. Scared me to death and he thought it was the greatest thing ever. Needless to say, he is no longer allowed to play with golf balls. Jameson does not like dogs. They freak him out. If there is a dog in a room he watches it like a hawk and if it comes near him he cries. It's very traumatic to him. I love watching him grow and discover new things. It's fun to see his own little personality developing. He is all smiles and one happy baby. We love having him in our family.

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. Corbin is old enough that he started to understand Christmas this year, which made it really fun. This was also the first year that Corbin didn't cry when he saw Santa, instead he was really excited to see him and tell him what he wanted for Christmas. Jameson didn't cry either and thought Santa's beard was great.

We had to do Christmas a day early this year since Colby worked Christmas morning. I thought it wouldn't be as much fun, but it worked out great. Corbin was so cute in the morning he woke up and looked at his presents and got a huge smile on his face. He got a new bike which was all set up and he walked straight to it and said, "Who's bike is this?" You could tell that he was thinking "please say it's for me!" He was pretty excited! Jameson started crawling for Christmas, and so now we have to baby proof the house again. He is crawling so well that he got stuck underneath the Christmas tree. Poor kid has figured backing up yet.

Overrall this has been a great Christmas and year. We are ready and excited for the new year because Colby will be graduating in May! Yay!!!!! One of my New Year's Resolution is to be better at bloging so hopefully there will be more posts next year. Love you all and hope you have Happy New Year!

Golf Champion

Colby got together with some guys at work for a Golf Tournament and this is the trophy he won. I know what you are thinking...Yes, those are drug bottles. Pharmacists are pretty nerdy! :)

The Second Child

There are a couple of things I'm realizing now that I have a 2nd child...
1. I don't take as many pictures, which I feel way bad about.
2. I am not as paranoid and overprotective as I was with the 1st child.
3. I can't figure out why I ever thought 1 was hard.
It definately has been an adjustment having 2 kids, but I love those 2 little boys! One of our favorite things to do is go on walks, but I was worried I wouldn't be able to do this because we needed a double stroller, well my Mother-in-law came to my rescue and gave us a double jogger as a baby present! It has been awesome! Corbin and Jameson both love it and I love it too!

Jameson Tyler Hancock
Born May 23, 2010 weighing 8 lbs 7ozs and 22 in
He has the best chubby cheeks and so far he is a great baby. Corbin is adjusting well and loves his new baby brother. He has to help with everything. I can't believe we are a family of 4! Life is good!

In Memory of my Grandpa Coleman

Robert C. Coleman 1924 ~ 2010 BRIGHAM CITY - Robert Clyde Coleman, our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother died peacefully on May 4, 2010.Born June 8, 1924 in Ogden, Utah, Robert was the oldest son of Clyde and Jenne Maine Flygare Coleman. Robert married Merle M. Williams, the prettiest girl at the Ogden USO, in the Salt Lake Temple on August 22, 1945. They enjoyed 57 years together before her death July 19, 2003. Shortly after graduating from Ogden High School and enrolling at Weber College, Robert enlisted in the army and proudly served his country in the European theater during World War II. Upon returning from the war, Robert started his career in commercial banking as a teller at First Security Bank. His career in banking continued at the Bank of Utah and was distinguished by opening the first branch in Roy and a new branch in North Ogden. In 1959 he joined Box Elder County Bank and rose to senior vice president and a member of the Board of Directors before First Interstate Bank acquired it. As a community leader in Brigham City, he served as president of the Chamber of Commerce and the Industrial Commission and was a member of Rotary Club. Robert was devoted to his family. He and Merle raised six children inspiring them, through example, to embrace family and to value education, hard work and the freedom that we enjoy in this country. His wife, Merle and son, Douglas Ray, preceded him in death. His sister, Ruth, also preceded him in death. Surviving are his daughter, Kris (Craig) Robinette of Brigham City; four sons: Dennis (Polly) of Salt Lake City, David (Julie) of Brigham City, Dal (Julie) and Deen of Brigham City; three brothers: Clair (Kaye) Salt Lake City, Jim (Marilyn) Bountiful and Ray (Donna), North Ogden; 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and his dog, April. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, 1950 Circle of Hope, Salt Lake City, UT 84112. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 15, at 1 p.m. at the Brigham City 14th Ward Chapel, 650 Anderson Drive. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City and on Saturday from 11:30 to 12:30 at the church.
