Florida

Somehow I totally forgot to blog about our trip to Florida. Colby and I decided we needed a little vacation, we went to Florida in the middle of August right before school started. We left Corbin at home, which was really hard since we were going to be gone for 7 days, but I survived. I was really sad about leaving him, but once we left I was able to relax and enjoy myself, but towards the end I was ready to come home. Florida was a blast! We flew into Tampa and hung out at the beach for the day, then we went to Orlando to stay. We did Universal Studios, Epcot, and lots of shopping. We also got to eat at Emeril's, which was tons of fun and yummy! We totally forgot the camera at Universal Studios so we don't have any pics there and then our battery died while we were at Epcot so we don't have a ton of pics. One night we went miniature golfing and we got to "feed live gators"! It was funny because all the mini golf courses advertised that. I totally screamed the whole time! :)

Universals was pretty intense it was a lot of fun. Except, I'm totally a wimp and got sick after one of the roller coasters. Other than that it was fun. Epcot was my favorite part of the trip. I loved going around to the different countries and eating the food. It was all so yummy!

This is in Mexico! Don't we look great!?

I did realize something on this trip...I could never live in a tropical climate! It was so humid there, I thought I was going to melt! The trip was also good for Corbin to get to spend time with his grandparents. He had tons of fun...case in point...when we brought him home the first time we told him no he freaked out. We came to the conclusion that the Grandmas never told him no. Ha ha ha! I guess that's what makes them Grandmas. I think he missed us towards the end of the trip too, because he found our picture at my parents and was like "where mom and dad?" and then carried around our picture for a while. It feels good to be missed and loved!

Are U Ready?

We are excited for the Utes football season to start! (When I say we I mean mostly Colby.) Corbin is also geared up and excited for the season! Check out the follow through!
Future QB? Who knows...I think he has some growing to do.

Bear Lake 2009

We went on our annual Bear Lake trip with my family this past week and had tons of fun. It was nice to take a break from everything and be with family. Corbin loved it up there! He learned to say "side" meaning he wanted to go outside and now that we are home he can't figure out where the beach and all of his cousins went. He loved playing in the sand and water.

Corbin also has quite the arm on him and wanted so bad to play football with his uncles and dad. He tried so hard to be big and he was constantly carrying around some type of sports ball.

It's so fun to watch him and my little nieces and nephews playing on the beach because not long ago that was me playing on the beach with all of my cousins. I miss those days, we had so much fun. Boy how time flies! I think it's great that my family has keep on the tradition and keeps coming back every year. My dad has been doing this ever since he was a little boy.

For the Fourth of July we went with Colby's family to dinner and watched fireworks with them. Corbin was so hyper (probably due to all the sugar his grandparents gave him) he was was lots of fun, he was seriously out of control running everywhere and climbing all over everyone, but as soon as the fireworks started he was in total awe and he sat still for about 10 min and then he was crazy again and just having the time of his life. Needless to say he crashed as soon as we put him in his car seat. This is a picture of Corbin with his uncle TJ chowing down on some yummy kettle corn. Notice the ear plugs in TJ's ears in preparation for the fireworks. :) (This is another big step for TJ and his relationship with Corbin.)

Our 4 Year Anniversary

We had our 4th Anniversary on May 19. The first two years we had fun and planned little getaway trips to Park City and San Diego, then we had Corbin and we have been too poor to do anything like that so we have settled for a date night out the last two years. Anyway this year we went to Tepanyaki! So Yummy! It was fun just to get out. I can't believe how fast time goes by. I'm so thankful for Colby and all he does. I love him so much!

Spring Break

This week is Spring Break for Colby and since we couldn't go anywhere we decided to plan out some fun things to do during the week. On Monday, Colby worked during the day so we rented a movie that night. The Boy in the Stripped Pajamas, it was a good movie, but way sad. Tuesday, Colby went golfing in the morning then we went down to the Gateway and had lunch at CPK. I love CPK it is so delicous! Corbin had fun being outside, he didn't know quite what to think of the fountains. When he got close to them he got scared. I'm sure in a few years he will love them and want to run through them.

Today we went to the Zoo with my friend Laura-Ann and her daughter Madi. It was lots of fun. Corbin barked at all the animals. We are working on teaching him the different sounds animals make, but for now they all go "Woof, woof." This was definately his most active zoo outing yet! Colby held him up in the little prarie dog holes and he didn't really like. I don't blame him they used to scare me too.

The rest of the week is uneventful. Tomorrow Colby works and Friday we are going to the Golf Expo, which Colby is looking forward to and I am undecided. I'm sure we will have fun though. Yeah for Spring Break!

Pharmacy Pointers

This post is dedicated to my pharmacy buddies. I first have to say that I really do love my job. I only work like 4 days a month so I don't have much to complain about, but there are always those little irritating things that happen on the job. Pharmacists and Techs will understand these pointers and laugh, but others might get offended if they have ever committed these blunders at their pharmacy.

Pharmacy Pointers
1. Staring and glaring at me behind the counter will not make me work faster and get your RX out sooner.
2. When calling in a refill I don't need you to tell me what the drug is for, the full name, and what it looks like, the RX number is sufficient, in fact we have an automation line that you can call instead.
3. Also, really you don't know what medication you are taking? That's something you should know and not refer to your meds as "it's the little white pill."
4. I do not control you insurance. When we process a RX through your insurance and it comes to whatever price, that's the price and I can't change it. Take it up with you insurance if you have a problem. I'm not going to reprocess it and see if the price will change.
5. Remember we are a pharmacy and not a doctor's office.
6. Calling 5 times in an hour to see if your RX has been filled yet is a little excessive. If you tell us to call you when it's done, we will call you back, there is no need for excessive phone calls.
7. The IN window is where you drop off your RX the OUT window is where you pick up your meds. I'm not so sure what's so difficult about that, maybe people just don't take the time to read the signs. Who knows?

Well I hope you had a good laugh and feel free to add to the pointers in the comments. I just picked the ones the irritate me the most. I didn't even get to talk about hospital pharmacy and we all know that that list is long. : )
